[tex]\frac{9}{8}>\frac{x}{2}[/tex]

we must solve x, so remove the 2 on the denominator multipliying on both sides by 2

[tex]\begin{gathered} \frac{9}{8}\times2>\frac{x}{2}\times2 \\ \\ \frac{18}{8}>x \\ \\ \frac{9}{4}>x \\ \\ x<\frac{9}{4} \end{gathered}[/tex]

x values must be less than 9/4
