Weathering is the process whereby larger rocks are broken down into smaller particles. Factors that makes the process of weathering and mass movement happen include animal activities in the soil, water, wind etc.

Due to the presence of animal and plant on ocean cliffs, their activities help loosen the rock materials. Some of the loosened rocks fall back into the ocean.
