2v+7=3
Subtract 7 from both sides.
2v=-4
Divide both sides by 2.
v=-2

Here's how to find what  ' v '  must be :

-- Subtract  7  from each side .

-- Divide each side by  2 .

When you do that, you'll have            v  =  (the number that ' v ' is) .
