m = [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex],   (x₁ , y₁) = (-2, -4)

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

y -(-4) = [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex](x - (-2))

y + 4 = [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex](x +2)

y + 4 = [tex]\frac{1}{2}x[/tex] + 1

     y = [tex]\frac{1}{2}x[/tex] - 3
